In my installations, oilpaintings and animations, I deal with the (mis)relationship and interdependence between people of our society and nature as well as nonhuman living beings. Growing up on a farm in the countryside, I developed a close connection to non-human environment. As an artist who works partly with activists and is committed to sustainable development, I question the profit oriented view towards nature of the westernized world I am living in.

My works visualize often invisible connetions of daily habits and environmental exploitation as well as pollution. In my largescale paintings, a multitude of objects, waste and animal body masses form accumulations which resemble abstract landscapes. These initially colorful structures turn out to be relicts of mass production only upon closer inspection.

My artistic practice is shifting from single paintings and animations towards multipart installations that combine different media to more adequatly address complex contexts. Currently, I am researching on future utopias and alternative ways of living such as degrowth and postgrowth, which I consider crucial for a worthwhile life in the future.
